Privacy policy

This policy covers the Drakonect iPhone app and this website. It is written to be checkable: every statement matches how the product actually behaves.

Data controller

The data controller is the publisher of Drakonect, identified on the legal notice page.

Legal nameTom Lemelle

Address474 rue Gabriel Crochet, 76520 Franqueville-Saint-Pierre, France

For any question about your data: tom.lemelle@gmail.com.

Drakonect has not appointed a Data Protection Officer: the activity does not meet any of the GDPR criteria that make appointment mandatory. This should be reassessed if the activity changes.

The principle, in one sentence

Drakonect works without a user account and without an application server. Your progress — level, mood, streaks, statistics, inventory — is stored locally on your iPhone and is not sent anywhere.

We deliberately do not write “no data is collected”: that would be inaccurate, since the App Store and our subscription provider necessarily process some data when a purchase happens. The sections below set out exactly what is processed, by whom, and why.

Data processed by the app

Game progress
Level, experience, dragon mood, daily streaks, goals, inventory, care log, session history. Created and kept only on your device, in the app’s own storage.
Selection of apps to pause
Selection happens in the picker Apple provides. The system returns an opaque reference: Drakonect neither receives nor stores the readable names of the apps or categories you chose.
Current session state
A shared app group lets the Screen Time extensions know the state of the session and of the dragon, so the blocking screen can be shown in Drakonect’s colours. That storage stays on the device.
Settings
Daily goal, preferred session length, notifications, music, reduced animations. Stored locally.

Drakonect never sees the content you look at: no pages, no messages, no browsing history, no per-app usage duration. The app only adds up the focus minutes of the sessions you start.

The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier.

Screen Time permission

On iPhone, only Apple’s Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) can pause apps. Drakonect requests that permission for one purpose only: applying the blocks you configured.

The permission is granted by you and stays on your device. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings, Screen Time, after which the app can no longer pause anything.

The related processing relies on your consent, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when you accept the system permission prompt.

Subscriptions: Apple and RevenueCat

The “Ancestral Bond” subscription is sold by Apple through App Store in-app purchases. Drakonect never sees your payment details.

Apple
Apple handles payment, billing, the free trial, renewal and cancellation, acting as controller for those operations. That processing is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat is our subscription management provider and acts as a processor. It receives what is needed to verify your subscription state: an anonymous app-level identifier generated for your installation, the purchase receipt passed on by Apple, and standard technical data (platform, app version, store country). It does not receive your name, your email address or your game progress.

Legal basis: performance of a contract, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — this processing is necessary to give you the subscription you purchased.

To verify before launchConfirm the exact RevenueCat configuration used (identifiers sent, attributes, hosting region) and align it with the App Privacy declaration in App Store Connect.

Data related to this website

This is a static marketing site. It has no forms, no accounts, no personal area, and no social buttons loading third-party scripts.

  • No cookies are set, by us or by anyone else.
  • No analytics tool is installed at this time.
  • No font is loaded from a third-party domain: fonts are served by the site itself.

If you use the language switcher, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key “drakonect.lang”. This is functionality you explicitly requested, exempt from consent requirements; it is never used for measurement or tracking, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

For security and reliability, the hosting provider keeps technical connection logs (IP address, timestamp, requested resource, user agent). That processing relies on the legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

No cookie banner is shown, because no consent-requiring tracker is used. If an analytics tool were added, a compliant consent mechanism would be put in place — with refusing as easy as accepting — and this policy would be updated before it went live.

Transfers outside the European Union

Apple and RevenueCat operate infrastructure that may involve transfers of data outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular standard contractual clauses.

To verify before launchConfirm the applicable transfer mechanisms and the hosting locations chosen at RevenueCat and at the website host.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

Because game progress is kept only on your device, you can exercise those rights directly: the app’s Profile screen erases all local data, and deleting the app removes the rest.

For anything else: tom.lemelle@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr), or with the supervisory authority of your own country.

Children

Drakonect is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data about minors. The applicable age rating is the one declared on the App Store listing.

To confirmAge rating declared in App Store Connect and the minimum age adopted.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change, in particular if a feature or a provider is added. The last update date is shown at the top of the page, and any substantial change will be surfaced in the app.
